SEAN BRUNO

Certified Public Accountant

Sean M. Bruno is a highly accomplished Certified Public Accountant with more than 24 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, and public sector financial management. A proud New Orleanian and Summa Cum Laude graduate of Morehouse College, Bruno has built a distinguished career providing financial stewardship, management consulting, and oversight for major public agencies and institutions across Louisiana.



Bruno currently serves as the Accounting Manager for the Orleans Parish Clerk of Criminal Court, where he directs all financial operations for the office. From 2016 to 2022, he served as Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, overseeing human resources, finance, purchasing, facility maintenance, and administrative operations. He also played a key role on the OPSO Consent Decree team, helping achieve partial or full compliance in at least 90 percent of requirements during his tenure.

In addition, Bruno is the founder of Sean M. Bruno CPAs, where he has led engagements for a wide array of institutions including Tulane University, Southern University, Loyola University, Xavier University, the Metropolitan Crime Commission, the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, and the Super Bowl Host Committee.

Deeply engaged in civic life, he has served on numerous boards, including the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast Housing Partnership, East New Orleans Business Development District, and the Louisiana Democratic Party, where he serves as Treasurer. He also contributed to statewide leadership efforts by serving on the 2016 Governor John Bel Edwards Transition Team.

Bruno’s commitment to community extends beyond his professional work. He founded the Accounting Careers Exploration Program, organizes community cleanups, and serves as Treasurer of the Harrison Rochon CPAs Educational Foundation.
